Lucy & Simon – Vegetarian Wedding

Lucy & Simon had a tasty vegetarian wedding breakfast for their wedding day. Simon’s family are Spanish and so together we crafted a menu that included some tasty tapas and sharing dishes. They were married at a stunning stately home in Norfolk. While the wedding breakfast was served in a beautiful rustic barn. Lucy & Simon also selected some of their favourite gins as we rolled out our gin piano bar to help get the party started into the evening.

Creating a truly bespoke wedding menu

We worked with Lucy & Simon on creating their perfect wedding menu. They knew that that wanted three keys things. That wanted it to be completely vegetarian. For it to have some Spanish influence and for their guests to be able to enjoy a relaxed and informal meal.

So we started with a selection of tasty canapés and included some of their favourites and some we’d never served before like these Spring Onion & Horseradish Potato Cakes

Sharing style wedding food

Lucy & Simon had two long trestle tables laid out for their guests and this lent itself perfectly to a family style sharing menu.  Our chefs prepared some delicious ingredients including; Charred Halloumi, Spanish Tortilla and Hongos Croquettes.  There was loads of variety and guests to take their time grazing through the courses and passing boards and bowls around the table.

A trio of desserts

For dessert it was difficult for Lucy & Simon to choose what they wanted, so they ended up having three!  They had Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Chocolate Brownie and a Pave.  Just for Lucy & Simon, we served them their very own duo of desserts with extra helpings!

Lucy & Simon’s wedding was in late October and so we planned for both an indoor and outdoor drinks reception.  Sadly it rained and was really windy, so we quickly brought everyone in under shelter and served a lovely canapé reception with Sangria!  We looked after all of the guests, serving drinks and making sure everyone was happy.  The speeches were brilliant.  Lucy’s Dad was really funny and Lucy spoke of Simon in a way that brought us to tears.  In the evening the weather cleared and we served an outdoor bar with drinks and cocktails under fairy lights for a beautiful wedding day.
