Caitlin & Chris – Autumn Wedding

Caitlin & Chris had a beautiful autumn wedding with their favourite dishes on the menu. They first got in touch with us in April 2019 when they were planning their wedding day the following summer. Together we prepared a beautiful menu with their favourite dishes and were looking forward to their big day with 120 guests. Then COVID-19 put their plans on hold and they postponed until the autumn, but the lockdown went on a bit longer than we all thought. So Caitlin & Chris changed their plans, changed their venue and had 30 of the closest friends and family in a tipi in the Cotswolds and we prepared their bespoke menu for them on their special day.

Creating a bespoke menu

Together we crafted a delicious bespoke menu and we really focused on how Caitlin & Chris wanted their menu to be enjoyed by their guests.

We were creating specific sauces and marinades to create dishes with colour and distinct flavour.  We also wanted to make sure that any guests with dietary requirements could enjoy a similar dish equally as delicious and beautiful on the plate.

After canapes the wedding breakfast was served in an intimate tipi with tables surrounding an open fire in the centre of the tent.

Our team were working to COVID-19 guidelines and keeping everyone safe, but the day didn’t lose any magic for it.

We served a delicious four course menu that included Smoked Salmon, Pork Belly, Gin Granita and a duo of desserts.

The desserts were the highlight

When we were creating the menu with Caitlin & Chris, the desserts were the first things we discussed with Sticky Toffee Pudding being Chris’s favourite and Caitlin really liking lemon desserts, we made the perfect combination.

On the day

Not only did Caitlin & Chris had to make a plan B for their big day, but also a plan C, D and E, such was the uncertainty created with the impact of COVID-19.

However we kept in touch all the way through their planning and worked together to bring to life their plans and ideas.  Caitlin & Chris also had some fantastic other suppliers on hand to support.

The Luxury in The Cotswolds were fantastic in being able to hire out the venue at such short notice.  Elite Tents provided a beautiful set tipi and wedding photographers Amara Grace were wonderful company as they captured moments and memories throughout the day.

Every single guest commented on how amazing the food and service was!

Marc, Jonathan and the whole Caviar & Chips team are simply amazing. They have been so understanding on the constant date changes due to COVID and when we rang them on 23rd Sept following the imminent rule changes to weddings, they simply dropped everything to accommodate our wedding just 3 days later.

I don't know how they turned around and prepared our original menu in 3 days, but it was simply outstanding! Every single guest commented on how amazing the food and service was! Marc has always been so relaxed, accommodating and supportive throughout the whole process. I have never felt so relaxed and confident in his team to deliver the perfect wedding meal.

We can't wait to use them again next year when we have a big party for all the guests who couldn't come to the wedding. Thank you so so much, we can’t recommend you highly enough!
