The Caviar & Chips Story

Our Co-founders, Jonathan Carter-Morris and Marc Hornby met at Business School.  Jonathan was planning his own wedding in 2017 after recently being engaged to his fiancee Gemma and wedding plans were a regular topic of conversation between lectures for Jonathan and Marc!  

Having a hospitality background of over 20 years, Jonathan had a clear idea of what he would like on his wedding breakfast menu.  Together, Jonathan and Gemma share a love of food, visiting restaurants and trying new recipes.  There are some special places they had visited and meals they had enjoyed together that they wanted as part of their menu and hoped to share with their guests

Jonathan and Gemma visited lots of wedding venues and met with various caterers, but couldn't find a caterer that could accommodate what they had in mind.  

Many of their options had a fixed menu approach, so much so that they decided to cater for their wedding day themselves.

Jonathan ended up planning and setting up a kitchen himself, brought together a kitchen team as well as a front-of-house and bar team and catered for his own wedding.  It was an incredible day with canapes, five-course, matching wines an after dinner drinks - so much so it inspired the beginning of Caviar & Chips Catering.

 

Both Jonathan and Marc decided to develop a bespoke, client-led catering company that puts the client first and deliver literally anything the clients would want from their wedding catering, their corporate hospitality, or private parties.

Our aim is to create unforgettable memories for everyone. Whether the events we cater for are in woodland, yurts, tipis, marquees, barns or stately homes; everyone receives the Caviar & Chips experience of exceptional service and distinctive food.
