Saturday 10th June, 2017 marks World Gin Day and what better way to celebrate than making your way through our fantastic menu of gin-based cocktails that you may not yet have tried.

Gin is a popular base ingredient in some of the best known cocktails, but there are also an amazing number of cocktails that are less known but equally delicious.

There’s an incredible variety of Gin brands from all over the world that use fragrances and flavour including: coriander, lemon and orange peels, fennel, anise, almond and angelica and because of this we are spoilt for choice and each different Gin offers a different drinking experience.

Made from a mash of cereal grain such as rye, barley and wheat and flavoured with botanicals – the most commonly known being juniper.

1. Gin Gin Highball

  • 50ml Gin
  • 120ml ginger ale
  • Two dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • Lemon or Orange peel to garnish

2. Gin Sling

  • 30ml Gin
  • 20ml sweet vermouth
  • 15ml of fresh lemon juice
  • 20ml of syrup
  • One dash of Angostura Bitters
  • Soda water
  • Lemon peel to garnish

3. Gin Gin Mule

  • 15ml lime juice
  • 15ml syrup
  • Six mint sprigs
  • 50ml Bombay Sapphire
  • 25ml ginger beer
  • Splash of soda water
  • Lime wedge to garnish

4. Hi Ho Cocktail

  • 45ml Gin
  • 20ml of white port
  • Four dashes of Orange bitters
  • Lemon peel to garnish

5. Honolulu Cocktail

  • 50ml Gin
  • 12ml pineapple juice
  • 12ml fresh orange juice
  • 5ml lemon juice
  • 5ml syrup
  • A dash of Angostura Bitters
  • Lemon peel to garnish

6. Le Perroquet

  • A generous dash of Campari
  • Dash of gin
  • 50ml fresh orange juice
  • 110ml chilled Champagne
  • Twist of lemon peel
  • Twist of orange peel

7. Yin Martini

  • 50ml Sake
  • 15ml Gin
  • Lychee fruit to garnish

8. Up-side down Martini

  • 50ml French dry vermouth
  • 15ml Gin
  • Lemon peel to garnish

9. Monkey Gland

  • A splash of Ricard
  • 50ml Gin
  • 15ml fresh orange juice
  • One teaspoon of grenadine
  • Flamed orange peel to garnish

10. Turbo G&T

  • 35ml Gin
  • 10ml Brass Monkeys cold brew
  • Tonic water
